Everything is Logistics
Returns and Reverse Logistics

Everything that comes back

Returns, resale, liquidation and the boomerang economy behind your checkout page.

In our episode with Hafback, we talked about 6 billion pounds of returns thrown away in the U.S. every year, mostly because there's no good channel to resell them. Returns are the part customers see: the portal, the label and the refund. Reverse logistics is the engine behind it that repairs, resells and recycles what comes back. Grace Sharkey and I spent a whole segment on that difference, and you'll also hear what really happens to returned makeup.
