NASA is stepping back from running the next space station.

Kelli Kedis Ogborn of the Space Foundation explains that, instead of building a replacement for the aging ISS, they’re inviting private companies to take the lead and operate it.

NASA will become one of many customers, giving more organizations access to low Earth orbit for research and development.
