Supply chains didn’t stop. They adapted faster than anyone expected.

Chris Caplice of MIT and DAT Freight & Analytics says that while the public worried about shortages during the pandemic, the reality is supply chains kept moving. The only real issue was hoarding.

Now, post-pandemic, people have a deeper appreciation for how logistics works, and more young professionals are choosing supply chain as a career.

Caplice adds that he used to explain what a port even was at family gatherings, but now people are actually asking how ports are doing, which shows how the once-invisible supply chain has entered mainstream awareness.
