Women and The Assertive Backlash

I first learned about Sue Reynolds as I was watching one of her TikTok’s referring to common phrases women tend to use in emails that give the perception that she’s lacking confidence in her work, what she’s stating, or what she’s requesting.

In fact when women over-apologize in an email or use the word “just”–it’s subconsciously signaling that she wants to avoid any possible tension–also known as the assertive backlash.

In today’s episode, Sue is breaking down all the faux pas so women can avoid giving off the perception that she’s lacking in confidence.
